Lights Architectures

Italian Light, "festive language" born during Renaissance an Baroque epochs, it's the essential way of Studio Festi's artistic search, that - since 1980 - conceived the realizations of great Luminarie settings - lights architectures - not only in Italy, but all over the world, in towns as Houston, Kobe, Tokyo, Madrid, Paris, Istanbul, etc.
Search, creativity, and new forms of invention suggested light as powerful instrument of Feast, a universal language with new meanings: Light as the beginning of life and of creation of the world; lighting as separation from night to day. Studio festi's Luminarie are light sculptures and architectures: light becomes a form of art, and a new sign, original creation and design.

At the same time, those sculptures are inserted in urban spaces - a street, a square, a park - that are systematically transformed into an artificial illusion, so to change completely their identity. They are made of architectural elements, inherited from the old European architecture's tradition. The Gallery reminds old cathedrals' nave. Fronton is a façade reconstruction made of light ornaments, instead.

The best result of this light search, has been reached in Japan, with Kobe Luminarie® new project (www.kobe-luminarie.jp/index.html) that - since 1995 - raised Kobe as "Town of Light", following its rebirth after the waste of the earthquake. That project, supported by the National Government as a tribute to Kobe town's reconstruction, is born thanks to Mr. Hirokazu Imaoka, Studio Festi's producer in Japan. Every year, in December, millions of people start their walk in Kobe downtown, toward a future of joy and light.

The back is in a new disposition for an open-air illusory construction. A pieces are only pictures or sculptures, flowers or tableaux. Studio Festi's Luminarie realize a complete project. Studio Festi produces a staging that brightens the town, basing it on new drawings, which interpret tradition's materials.
