A Square
In archaic cultures, the square is an empty space where a narrator
drew a circle on the ground, in which he stepped to tell a story:
probably the birth of something we - western men - later in the
years called "theatre". Since its origins, the square
is the meeting point, the place where people compare. The whole
world is elaborated, read over, discussed in the square.
Light, Fire and Fictitious Elements, a
Story
In the Feasts that we have realized in the four corners of
the world, Fire, Light and Air are the first subjects of our performances.
Air , Water, Earth and Fire choreographies, 'sight machines' moving
among the audience, and a steady use of altitude, to keep the
audiences with their noses turned up, or - as Calvino said - "a
nose flying after whistle
"
Let the towns be full of dreams
Beginning to watch "behind"; catching the perfect
harmony that stills lives in many squares of our Country ; keepin'
to listen to stories that seemed forgotten; renewing ties of proud
and belonging. In all that the "New Feast" helps.
