Feast Theatre
Feast is a town's Feast, the Feast of a community. It's finding
ourselves with a thousand, ten thousand, one hundred thousand
people for a special occasion. Feast is surprise, astonishment,
emotion for unexpected and surprising things, happenings and coincidences
that we see in front of us and experience, as under a spell.
In the Feast we build visions, wonders, things never seen before.
Man tests a new world: they used to say that in a Feast "we
test the world, the world as we would like it to be".
The representation of Feast cannot be only a sequence of beautiful
images, and it cannot just limit itself to entertain the audience.
It must also give a new sense of belonging. Telling a story, a
legend, and a myth, something that has to be deeply related to
the town.
What do we need to make a new Feast?
We need a square, lights and fire - 'fictitious' natural Elements-,
and a story.
