	Towns Projects Big happenings that Valerio Festi' Company exclusively projects and realizes for special occasions, made to order, in which communities acknowledge theirselves. For instance, majestic lights architectures created in Japan (Kobe, Wakayama, Fukuoka, Tokyo) and in China (Pecking), but also in Paris, in Istanbul, in Madrid, and in Disneyland (Europe and United States); great sceneries, always new, realized for almost 100 Christmas, New Year's Day, Carnival's celebrations all over the major Italian towns ( Rome, Milan, Venice, Genova, Bologna, Florence, Naples, Mantova, Siena, etc.); Magnifici Apparati, conceived to renew civic and religious traditional ceremonies, such as Festino di Santa Rosalia (Palermo), or San Nicola Historic Procession (Bari); Valerio Festi's Company always renews, with a contemporary sensibility, the great Italian tradition of Event, born in the most important Renaissance's Courts, and culminated during Baroque Epoch, when it joined transformed places and Feast together.			In these projects the Town itself, taking advantage of its uniqueness, becomes a stage, finding out its own Feasts again. Even creating new Feasts. We mean sceneries realized in Japan, for example, or The Feast of Fire conceived for Catania and its volcano, or The Feast of Sea, born thanks to Bari's will. Culturally, today, trend's significance is not only to exalt the past (which is often wonderful), but also to modify the present, with urban structures as new Feasts' protagonists, to find out sparks of sense and beauty in a hard decoding Architecture, that mixes History and Contemporaneity.

	These are projects tending to simulation and representation's arts - such as theatre, architecture-, evocating great changes - even thought transitory -, letting all the town acknowledge itself and feel new, beautiful, reborn - as in front of an ideal mirror. So to say, the town is dressed for a party, transfigured by an artistic emulation of the messages it means to communicate. If Feast is "the world as we would like it to be", town project is dreams and collective desires' interpretation instead, a time of big cohesion. The time when we reach to a totality of relations, and we can see the entire world, and all together - like Roland Barthes used to say. It's the time when generations meet, when a Parking becomes a Square, when people love their living places, proud to be host of an event dedicated to the whole town. But Valerio Festi's promise of renewing towns doesn't mean presenting the same performance everywhere, even though beautiful: we're not talking about some kind of open-air tours…			Every town has its own event, based on a Feast's subject, where thematic realization of the performance and circumstances that originate it are in a deep tuning. And, of course, it has to be an aesthetic agreement between the space where the performance takes places and its staging. Not a raw of occasional performances, but a real events' project concerning festive subjects, expressly created for that special place and that special meeting. And only there it's possible to see things never seen before, as in the best tradition of Feast's ethic.
